Veterans Day and Marine Corps Birthday Message

JPAC Teammates
As with all Veterans Days, our nation takes time this Sunday to purposefully reflect upon and honor the selfless service of our Veterans. We in JPAC are fortunate to have so many Veterans within our ranks. The fact that they choose to answer the call of service outside of uniform is no surprise given the courage and conviction with which they served in uniform. As the proud son of an Army Veteran, I salute our JPAC Veterans as well as the millions of other Veterans whose contributions and sacrifices have protected and defended this great nation from harm and peril. And their families are also owed a debt of gratitude for sacrificing and serving behind the scenes in quiet, humble ways.

I'd also like bid Hau'oli La Hanau, the 237th one, to our active duty, veteran and former Marine Corps teammates. Predating our nation's establishment, your proud Service is steeped in enriching traditions and a noble history. Living here in the Pacific, one can't help but be reminded how the Marine Corps' amphibious warfare exploits turned the tide of battle in this World War II theater. You, and the Marines who preceded you, have always answered the call to arms each and every time our nation called. Semper Fidelis.

Mahalo nui loa to our Veterans and to our Marines. And a safe and restful weekend to all. "Until They Are Home"

Kelly McKeague
Maj Gen, USAF
